I have fond memories of receiving a phone call from my dad asking me to take on the challenge of opening an office here in the US to facilitate the distribution of Annette's apparel line. The year was 2002 and Annette had already been in business for over 25 years selling high quality shapewear, special occasion pieces, and post-surgical garments to 18 different countries worldwide.
Within months, Annette International was born and we began shipping to accounts here in the United States with our headquarters located in my mother's small Miami apartment.
Seven years, two small children, one extremely supportive husband, one committed US/Colombian team and many business trips, phone calls and trade shows later, Annette has taken a foothold in today's competitive market. During this time of building and development, our entire team have worked tirelessly to understand what women want and moreover, what they need. In turn we have developed products made specifically to make women feel great from the inside out.
Our new collections directly reflect these efforts. Secret Weapons by Annette, which is comprised of 14 innovative 100% seamless shapewear styles, will be followed by Diva Defined, an adjustable shapewear line designed to compliment the curvaceous figure. Simultaneously, we are introducing our Seamless Technology line for women needing garments following cosmetic surgery.
As you browse our collections, I hope you feel the spirit that went into making them. I hope that you also feel, as a woman, wife, mother, or daughter, that everything is possible if you really believe it.
None of this could have been accomplished without my entire family: my dad, the head of Annette, my mom who was always there for moral support, my brother who kept the laughs and the sales coming, and last but not least my sister the talented and thought-provoking writer. Together we have worked hard and proudly stand behind the products in all Annette collections.
